Prague， May 16 (Xinhua) -- Czech tennis player Tomas Berdych has ended cooperation with his coach Daniel Vallverdu after 17 months， announced the world No.8 player on Monday in a press release.
He has no coach at present， one week before the grand slam Roland Garros.
Vallverdua previously cooperated with British Andy Murray. Berdych said his latest results are not what he expected. He said he is not a tennis player at the beginning of his career， so he had to act quickly when he felt the need for change.
The 33-year-old Berdych was not lucky in the tournament in 2016. Last week in the Italian Open tournament in Rome， he even suffered the worst defeat of his career in the third round match with Belgian David Goffin， he lost 6-0， 6-0 to Goffin without scoring one game.
